Nachos are a meal or snack that makes people feel guilty for "cheating on their diet." I'm going to show you how to make guilt-free nachos!
Chips:
Air fry or bake your chips!
Take any brand of corn tortillas and cut them into four or eight pieces. Four tortillas cut into eight pieces are only 200 calories and contain a lot of chips.
Spray with avocado or olive oil and then air fry or bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until crispy. Salt your chips once they're done. This only works for an oven-style air fryer. Do NOT try this in an air fryer basket.

These chips are only 200 calories and loaded with low-fat, high-protein shredded chicken. I added queso, tomatoes, jalapenos, and lettuce. Light sour cream was on the side, but it was just for the picture. To get more protein, use Greek yogurt as a sour cream replacement.
There are so many ways to enjoy nachos. Try this chip hack. You can use steak, ground turkey, beef, chicken, or chorizo!
Chicken:

Tired of grilled chicken? Make some shredded chicken for your nachos.
Pico:
Pico makes an excellent low-calorie topping.

Great for a 2-3 day prep. Use a fork to add the pico! The onions be booming the longer they sit in the fridge lol You don't want your fingertips smelling like onions.

Now, don't get too crazy with your cheese. You have a few options!
You can use freshly grated, shredded, or queso cheese. Use your food scale to stay mindful and on track.
Sauces:
Many hot and mild sauces are 0-10 calories. Avoid sauces high in calories, fat, and sugar.
Protein Chips:

You can also use the protein chips to make walking tacos.
Now, this section is for my big backs.
Fry your tortilla chips. Your favorite brand of tortilla chips is probably made with tons of different oils. Why not fry your own? Grab your choice of oil and heat to 375 degrees. Cook your chips for 3-5 minutes or until crispy.

Place your chips on a wire rack. This will prevent them from getting soggy and remove some excess grease. Salt them immediately after frying. They're so good! Also, a pack of tortillas costs 99 cents up to $2. Depending on your oil, this can be cheaper and taste way better than store-bought.
