It's not ideal to have fried chicken on your weight loss journey. Everything in moderation is fine, of course. I'm going to show you guys how to make some air-fried chicken that tastes like it was deep-fried! I used an oven-style air fryer. I used the convection bake setting. Keep an eye on the chicken and adjust the cooking time according to your preference. I cooked the chicken longer than the box suggested.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 tablespoon water
Louisiana Air Fryer Chicken Seasoning Mix
3 lbs of your choice of chicken (whole wings, drumsticks, bone-in thighs, or breast)
Cooking spray.
Directions:
Grab two large bowls.
Whisk together your eggs, hot sauce, and water in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, add your chicken mix and choice of spices.
Season your chicken to your preference.
Using your left hand, dip your chicken into the egg mix.
Shake off the excessive egg.
Use your left hand to place the chicken into the chicken mix.
Using your right hand, press the chicken into the chicken mix.
Repeat the process until your chicken is fully coated.
Preheat the air fryer or oven to 400°F (204 °C).
*Optional: Add chicken to the freezer for 15 minutes.
Place chicken on a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes. I usually flip halfway through, but I skipped it this time.
After 20 minutes, I cranked the temperature up to 425 degrees, sprayed the chicken, and air-fried it for an additional five minutes.
